MEET LINDSAY & TREVOR
We're not just city dwellers and we don't just live in the country. We actually do both! To be clear, our time is split between our own small homestead in town, complete with next-door-neighbors and also on the 10 acres our family has in Fern Prairie, Washington. Fern Prairie is where the majority of our produce is grown. We're sharing our version of:
VALUE, ABUNDANCE, & GETTING FREED.
We hope there are people who will benefit from our story. A story about two people who love one another and love the land, miss the "ol' days" (even though we weren't alive to see them), and who want to live simply and share abundantly. We are spiritually old-fashioned and aren't afraid of saying so.
We aren't living rustically off the grid and, to be honest, modern conveniences are a part of our lives. That's the full disclosure!
Here's a little background.
I (Lindsayl) have worked in architecture and design, non-profit development, as well as e-commerce management. I met Trevor while working at the university where he was finishing his doctorate program. I worked in clinical development, specifically assisting Interns, and he just walked in and asked me out! He informed me that our families go waaaaay back and our grandparents basically grew up together. Talk about a small world! We've been together ever since because we both dreamt of living off the land and living the "old fashioned" way. I have joyfully made it through some tough times regarding my health, but not without hardship, of course. If you'd asked me two years ago if I were seriously into natural home, body and skincare I would have shamefully turned the other cheek. Now, after all I've been through, it's a part of my mission for health.
As for me (Trevor), many of these last years were spent in school becoming a doctor, however my studies in biology and my passion for gardening lead me to revive my family's old homestead. Hence the name, Clark Homestead & Produce. Yes, it's true that I embarrassed Linds when I walked in and asked her on a date...but what she won't tell you is...that move alone was what won her heart forever! I have a particular interest in the way we live our lives in current times, especially as they compare to the ancestral way of life. It is my observation that the health and wellness of the developed world has trended in the wrong direction since convenience replaced greater human virtues such as self-reliance, effort, and being in tune with one's own body and mind.
We love, love, love to live by our motto: Grow, Raise, Heal.
GROWING, RAISING AND HEALING BY A ROAD LESS TRAVELED, we do it for you, our friends and neighbors. Especially for those who love all things fresh, real and healthfully created! Thank you for sharing this farm with us.
